His full name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. But he is popularly known as Mahatma Gandhi in India, as well as in the world also.
Due to his contribution in the Indian Independence movement, he is regarded as the Father of Nation.
महात्मा गांधी भारत के महानतम नेताओं में से एक थे। उन्होंने भारत की स्वतंत्रता के लिए लड़ाई लड़ी और इसे हासिल करने के लिए कई आंदोलनों का नेतृत्व किया।
इनका पूरा नाम मोहनदास करमचंद गाँधी था। लेकिन वह भारत के साथ-साथ विश्व में भी महात्मा गांधी के नाम से लोकप्रिय हैं।
भारतीय स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में उनके योगदान के कारण उन्हें राष्ट्रपिता माना जाता है।
